This is an incomplete idea of mine regarding the balance of Physical Health and Spiritual Health...

I've had this idea for a while now but thought only to write an article, which seems like something that doesn't fit into the context of my other posts. Usually, I post about things God has put on my heart, messages God shares with me, blessings that I feel need to be spoken about. I've tried not to waste people's time with the intricate, and sometimes, seemingly regular events that occur in my daily life.

Here is why I hope this will be different...
I want to share with you my daily pursuit of maintaining and bettering my Spiritual Health (the knowledge, understanding, and deepening relationship with my LORD) along with my pursuit of maintaining and bettering my Physical Health (my body's weight, BMI, resting heart rate, timed mile, pushups per minute, and other measurable health areas). I want to share these with you as a means to show the significance of including discipline and other "Spiritual Habits" in your daily life. This discipline will be pushed to the limit as I attempt to better my Physical and Spiritual Health. I will have to not only be vigilant in my scripture studies and prayer life but will have to consistently maintain exercising and keep records of everything on this page to keep you updated.

Sure, this will benefit me greatly. My prayer and hope is that you will be inspired as well.

Again, this is something new for me, so we'll be growing and learning how this works along the way. It kicked off Ash Wednesday and was supposed to finish on Easter! Oops! That was the plan, but like so many other times, other things at work and in life in general took precedence over this blog. So it turned into one of those projects without a definite ending.

I just finished the Love Dare, which is an amazing 40 day experience! I would encourage you to try to commit a period of time, 40 days, 30 days, a week, or any amount great or small that you can dedicate, to reading through these posts and improving your Physical and Spiritual Health.

Please pray for me, as I will pray for those who read this. As a daily "Spiritual Habit" I'd like to pray for you. If you have prayer requests, please comment at the bottom of my posts or message me so that we can walk together in Christian community.

Thanks and may God give us perseverance in the race ahead,

Brent
